Complete Rebrand

For the DJ website we immersed ourselves into the world of creating music for events. Our bold color palette and visuals illustrated the sights, sounds and sensual experiences DJs create with their music. This website was a big hit with DJs and search engines. This website was custom designed and hand coded. In 2019, we redesigned a responsive website using WordPress as the framework, but we did not stray far from this original design. An extension of this project included designing a logo and developing the brand. DJ Insurance was the second product design for RVNA after Wedsure.

Footer Design

RVNA literally created Wedding Insurance in the United States. Before RVNA, Wedding Insurance only existed in the UK. This was one of the most fun projects to work on because RVNA gave us full creative license. In 2008, WordPress as a web design tool was still not a viable option so this website was designed from scratch and hand coded. A truly inspiring project, the website won several awards for design and content.

The Color Brown for a Wedding Insurance Website

When we first presented the color brown it wasn’t exactly a thrilling idea to RVNA but we’d been working with RVNA for almost four years and they trusted us. Brown and blue is a stunning color combination for any wedding, unexpected yet traditional, but it certainly wasn’t the first color combination one connected with insurance. The Wedsure website became one of the most popular websites for journalists. RVNA had more press coverage from this website and their wedding insurance than any other product. It’s hard not to fall in love with this website.

Standing the test of time

Like most of Specto Design’s websites, Wedsure was no different, it stood the test of time all the way up until we redesigned and launched a new custom WordPress website in October of 2019, eight years later. Of course, through the years we’ve tweaked it here or there. Updated copy, images and code, but the design was a classic that aged well.

We crowned the Wedsure name with this logo. Prior to this logo, RVNA’s wedding insurance went by the name Weddingsurance. Specto Design created a small one page product website in 2008, per our suggestion to drop the Weddingsurance name and instead use the Wedsure name for their wedding insurance product going forward. The Wedsure product website launched in 2011 with this new logo and our award-winning website. Wedsure won a silver Davey award and two other awards.

With the successful launch of the new RVNA website, we worked with RVNA to increase revenue on individual products. This began with the design and development of RVNA’s first product website for Special Event Insurance. Our goal with this project was to address the specific needs of customers who needed insurance for events. We completed this micro website in two weeks.

Search Engine Friendly Website

This website was built with the user in mind. Since search engines, even back then, viewed helpful sites as a positive, this website showed up organically on the first page in top search engines for terms like event insurance for a decade with almost no maintenance.

A splash of color and the initials RVNA

As part of the Website Redesign Specto Design refreshed the logo with a splash of red. Why red? Red is a powerful color and RV Nuccio is a powerful company. We were bored with blue. So many financial services companies at the time were blue, especially insurance companies. It was such a common color and RV Nuccio was far from common.

RV Nuccio was known for speed, after all no other insurance broker could deliver a policy instantly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We chose a color that separated RV Nuccio from the pack because in reality they were in a league of their own. Red denotes strength and RV Nuccio’s founder Robert V. Nuccio built a strong company. He’s always been driven to go  above and beyond—a true innovator. So yes, the color red not only fit the founder, but it also fit the company, and over a decade later, it still does.

This is also the first logo where the initials RVNA have been introduced. Prior to this logo refresh the company had always been referred to as RV Nuccio.

Specto Design began working with R.V. Nuccio & Associates, Inc. (RVNA) in September 2006. When R.V. Nuccio approached us they had a simple brochure website showcasing their line of specialty insurance products. Their website enabled customers to use a worksheet to get a quote for five specialty insurance products, and provided customers with interactive PDF application forms that could be printed and either emailed or faxed to their office. At the time, especially in the world of  insurance, interactive forms and the ability to get a quote online were cutting edge. Our first project with RVNA was to edit these forms while we began working on a rebrand for the company. This was the beginning of an almost fifteen year relationship as RVNA’s Digital Agency, which is still ongoing today.
